About Trent Taylor

Trent Taylor joined The Wilhite Law Firm in 2024 and specializes in wage and hour, employment discrimination and complex class action litigation. Mr. Taylor received his Juris Doctorate from George Washington University Law School in 2010.

Prior to joining The Wilhite Law Firm, Mr. Taylor spent more than ten years representing unions and practicing wage and hour law. From 2020-2023, Trent served as the Staff Attorney for Farmworker Justice, a Washington, D.C. based national non-profit organization, specializing in representing farmworkers in impact litigation cases. He has represented labor unions and their members in arbitrations, negotiations, and federal court litigation. From 2013 to 2019 he worked as an associate attorney for Barkan Meizlish, LLP, where he represented employees in individual and class-action wage and hour litigation. He also represented unions in their contract negotiations, contract administration, and arbitration of grievances. On the wage and hour side of his practice, Tren has litigated cases involving lo-income workers across the United States. He has been admitted to practice before 13 United States District Courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Sixth, Eleventh and District of Columbia Circuits.

Mr. Taylor also co-authored the Ohio AFL-CIO’s Law of Organizing, a handbook designed for union organizers. He has served as a moderator and presenter for the National Employment Lawyers’ Association 2018 Conference, the AFL-CIO’s 2019 Labor Coordinating Committee (LCC) Conference, and the 20222 and 2024 National Farmworker Law Conferences.

Since arriving at The Wilhite Law Firm, Mr. Taylor has continued his wage and hour and employment discrimination litigation work on behalf of Colorado’s workers. He is fluent in Spanish and highly proficient in Arabic. In his free time, Mr. Taylor enjoys watching baseball and listening to blues music and classic rock.
