Jason Carpenter was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1980. On his second birthday, Jason and his family moved to the suburbs of Chicago. He has two younger siblings, Annie and Gabriel. Annie is an Audiologist in downtown Chicago and Gabriel is a Pilot.

Jason’s father is a Cardiologist in the Chicago area and his mother works with special needs students at a local high school. Growing up, Jason was a competitive gymnast and played varsity football.

After high school, Jason decided to move west to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he graduated with the highest GPA in his class and received a dual degree in Finance and Accounting from the Leeds School of Business in 2003. He quickly fell in love with Colorado and the vast opportunities for adventure and excitement that seem to lurk around every rock, tree, and chairlift. Following undergrad, Jason moved to New York City to work on Wall Street as an Investment Banker. Ultimately, he decided to move away from the concrete island of Manhattan and back to the colorful mountains of Colorado, which he has called home ever since.

Jason attended Law School at the University of Denver. While in Law School, he worked for 2 years as a law clerk at The Wilhite Law Firm. It was during this time that Jason found a passion for working with the injured and disabled. He gained an important understanding of the complex systems that many people with injuries and disabilities are forced to navigate, often without the guidance or assistance they need. Upon graduation, Jason accepted a full time position with The Wilhite Law Firm, and he now specializes in Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, and the Workers’ Compensation Education Association.

In his free time, Jason tries to enjoy all of the vast opportunities that Colorado has to offer. When he is not in the courtroom, you can usually find him snowboarding, golfing, rock climbing, or taking in a Nuggets game. Jason was a Denver Nuggets Cheerleader for 5 years and never misses an opportunity see the team in action. He was twice selected by the NBA to attend the All-Star Game and represent both the Nuggets organization and the City of Denver. Jason is still an active gymnastics and cheerleading coach, working primarily with local high schools.
